The Tippmann Straightline Barrel is the latest A5/X7 mod to come out of the Tippmann factory. Tippmann partnered with Hammerhead Paintball to develop the 16" A5 (X7) threaded Straightline. Hammerhead is known for producing the most accurate barrels in paintball mostly due to their rifling technology. Inside the Straightline, Hammerhead's helix and spiral rifling is responsible for controlling ball rotation, allowing for better accuracy and tighter groupings. The barrel kit includes 3 ball sizer 'barrel backs' with bore sizes: .688, .686 and .683. These 2" sizers allow for a close 'barrel to paint' match which is key to accuracy and air efficiency. At the end of the barrel you'll find a removable, reverse ported, military-style muzzle break. It is designed to control air turbulence, allowing the ball to exit the barrel smoother. It's just plain old cool. The barrel has a matte black finish which just screams military. It reduces glare and matches just about any gun accessory out there. Outside diameter of the barrel is relatively small compared to other paintball barrels. This means it should work with most Tippmann A5 and X7 barrel shrouds and hand guards. Finally, Tippmann includes a padded storage case for the Straightline barrel and sizers. They also include lithium grease for use with the barrel kit.
