I'm a big guy  6ft tall 230lbs and this vest has room to spare there is no sides to this vest just front and back you'll never fill a hit with this on its got thick padding only problem I have is I carry a lot of gear and it will dig in to shoulders going to have to put some foam padding in it myself you will need the belt to keep it from riding up on you sold seperetly
