I recently ordered a project salvo off ebay, and found out to my amazement, that the individual who owned the gun didn't know you had to remove a 1/8 allen bolt to pull the shroud off. So he just snapped it off at the plastic connector.
Ordered a replacement, and now the shroud is actually usable.
One note however. If you replace the barrel with a J&J or thinner style barrel, you will need to use electrical tape to secure the tip OR purchase the insert from rockstar (for about 3-4 bucks). That snugs it right up.
