First, I got the flatline barrel because I wanted to have a shroud and rail on my Alpha Black basic. As far as the extra 100+ feet, I'm not sure if it's quite that much, but it definitely does add a lot of distance to your shots. But at any real distance, you're still going to have to arch your shot. And the consistency SUCKS. I already put the stock barrel back on (yeah, it was that bad), because I'd rather arch my shots and have a little consistency than arch my shots and have balls flying anywhere within a 5 foot radius of my target. If you need a new barrel, go get a better smooth-bore. The flatline isn't worth it at all.
